Not every mural in Black Cat Alley takes up a whole wall, some sneak up on you.
Black Cat Alley welcomed a new mural from Milwaukee-based artist Danny Duffy in Spring of 2025. Titled “Right Here,” this bold yet intimate piece is rooted in Danny’s deep love and appreciation for nature.
“Right Here” speaks loudly and clearly. Inspired by nature and made to make you feel, this piece of art is a reminder to pause and be present.
“The inspiration behind the mural is simply nature,” Danny says. “I just really love and appreciate all the little gems that grow from the earth.” While some murals in the Alley tower above, “Right Here” opts for quiet confidence—commanding attention without taking up too much space.
Danny Duffy
Danny is a Milwaukee-based artist who brings a sense of movement, presence, and personal style to everything he creates. Danny’s work reflects his background as a snowboarder and skateboarder, two influences that helped him develop a unique sense of personal style. His art often speaks to the larger experience of life and the internal, spiritual journey that accompanies it. “I look at making art as simply creating a space for the viewer to be a part of and take what they want from it,” he says.
“Right Here” offers just that—a space for reflection, connection, and grounding.
